The elegant ZKO-Theater provides a more formal performance setting with professional lighting and staging. This is our main production weekend, where the full magic of The Nutcracker comes to life outside of our home studio stage.
The Nutcracker is choreographed and directed by Yen Han, former Principal Dancer of Ballett Zürich and Artistic Director of the Yen Han Ballet Foundation. Her interpretation of this holiday classic blends timeless tradition with modern sensitivity to the expressive potential of young performers.
The cast features dancers between the ages of 5 and 25, many of whom are performing on stage for the very first time alongside professional guest artists. Each role is carefully adapted to the dancer’s skill level, allowing them to shine and take part in a rich artistic journey.
The dancers are supported by the team of Yen Han Ballet Productions. Every detail — from staging and music to costume finishing — is part of a collaborative process that exemplifies the Foundation’s mission: to educate through dance, and to inspire through experience.
“The magic of this production isn’t just in the story we tell on stage,” says Yen Han. “It’s in the way the dancers learn to support each other, take responsibility, and find joy in the process.”
VIP Gala Evening – Saturday, November 22
Our Saturday performance at ZKO-Theater will be a special VIP fundraiser, complete with elegant catering and a festive reception. Guests will enjoy an evening of classical ballet in a warm and intimate setting, celebrating the accomplishments of our young dancers while supporting the future of the Foundation.
This gala is an opportunity to bring together our most dedicated supporters, cultural partners, and patrons of the arts. It’s a space to connect, reflect, and contribute to the next chapter of the Yen Han Ballet Foundation’s vision — creating access to high-quality dance education for all.
With the Generous Support of PLIM
We are proud to acknowledge PLIM as a leading sponsor of The Nutcracker 2025. Their belief in the power of the arts and their commitment to nurturing cultural education have made this year’s performances possible.
The ZKO weekend also marks PLIM’s official inauguration in Switzerland, making this event especially meaningful. By sharing this celebration with us, PLIM demonstrates the deep connection between business, culture, and community. Their support exemplifies what it means to invest not only in performance, but in the long-term artistic and emotional development of the next generation.
Support the Foundation
All proceeds from these performances go directly to the Yen Han Ballet Foundation, helping us continue to offer educational programs and opportunities for young dancers. We continue to seek donors, patrons, and supporters to grow our mission and make dance more inclusive, empowering, and enduring.
